EASIER IMPLANT TREATMENT WITH PRP

What is PRP and how does it make treatment easier? PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma. Traditionally we think of red blood cells primarily as a way for the body to start a clot and stop bleeding. In the 1990's we began to understand more fully the complete role of red blood cells. In addition to clotting, we now understand platelets contain proteins that stimulate new tissue growth, new blood vessels, new bone, and more. PRP is made with your own blood by using a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. When we use PRP with your implant treatment not only does the area heal much faster but patients report a dramatic decrease in post operative discomfort. We are one of a small number of offices that employ this technology and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
